I was introduced to the art of blacksmithing during summer camp at Falling Creek in Tuxedo, NC. Over the course of several summers, I worked diligently to increase my skills and ultimately reached the highest camp level called Warrior. In doing so, I also became an official Blacksmith’s Apprentice. Because of my interest in blacksmithing, I decided to learn how to build homemade foundries that I used for science projects for school.
